FAQ
Do you only do weddings?
While weddings have my heart, I love being apart of your life beyond that! I also love joining the fun with; Seniors + Grads, Couples, Proposals + Engagements, Maternity, and Families!
How do I know which package is best for me?
I work with many couples whose priorities as far as pictures are different than the next. I have some who want the main focus to be on the ceremony and themselves while the next might be the reception and the guests. Neither is wrong, I just want to make sure that all of my clients enjoy the album they receive and it follows their expectations of me. A four hour package would be great for the couple who just wants the album reflecting the ceremony, their love, and a small family. The eight hour package is my most popular as I’m able to capture more of the day. ex: getting ready, portraits of bride, groom, wedding party, first dances, etc. The ten hour package is an ALL day EVERY detail sort of package, we’re going to have time to capture every moment and more time to move around the venue for portraits. I love throwing in sunset portraits with this package along with the normal ones earlier in the day. This gives ALL of the time for creativity as well as time for you to loosen up and become more comfortable with each other (creating more intimate and authentic images).
You can always upgrade your package up to 2 weeks prior to your wedding if you feel like you need me for more time!
What should we wear?
These are simply just guidelines from what I think works best for my style of photography. Picking outfits can be stressful! Just remember to have fun, keep it simple, and be yourself.
My number one tip is to dress appropriate for the location, weather and bring good shoes you can get a little dirty and hike in. Most my locations are rugged and most likely require hiking a little. You can always bring a change of shoes to slip on.
Things to avoid:
* Avoid fluorescent/neon colors – they can distract from your faces, the scenery and can reflect onto your skin which can be very unflattering.
* Avoid distracting patterns that are super bold – don’t get me wrong I love patterns and prints, but keep the pattern simple for photos.
* Avoid vertical stripes – they can be unflattering and do not translate well in photographs.
* Avoid big watches, rubber bracelets and and bracelets with words on it- It can distract from your faces when you are holding each other or kissing for photos.
* Avoid too much make up and orange spray/self tans – If you are getting your hair and or make up done, be sure to be specific as what you want and tell them to keep it natural looking. Ask if they have done make up for engagements/bridals/wedding before and ask to look at the photographs! For spray tans try and choose and olive tone one and get them about a week before photos so it can fade a little.
* Avoid matching each other – and avoid wearing the same colors, for example both wearing white tops and black bottoms. It can come across cheesy in photos. If you are wearing a light top, have the other person try wearing a darker top.
Things that work well in photographs:
* Wear neutral colors – white, cream, grey, tan, black, dusty blue, caramel, BUT there are neutrals of every color! Just try choosing a mild hue instead of something bright or bold.
* Wear outfits that compliment each other and your location. Let me know if you have any questions about this one! :)
Do you bring a second shooter with you?
I include a second shooter in all of my wedding packages. I have very talented photographer friends whose direction I trust when it comes to capturing all of your intimate details alongside me. This ensures that we are able to include every moment of your special day in your wedding album. I personally edit all of the images so ensure that the album is consistent in style.
How long does it take for me to receive my full album?
My turn around times can differ depending on how busy the season is but sessions are never delivered later than 2 weeks and weddings are never delivered any later than 9 weeks!
I take my time editing each individual image to ensure that you enjoy the full album that you receive— down to the details.
